The prequel ‘Furiosa’ cannot match ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’.

With everything falling into place, ‘Furiosa: From the Mad Max Saga’ was destined to be one of the most successful movies of the year 2024. To begin, the most crucial thing is that George Miller, who has been in charge of the tale since 1979, is on board with the project. Neither the original trilogy, which included Mel Gibson as the director and consisted of three indisputable classics of apocalyptic science fiction, nor its reformulation in ‘Fury Road’, which is considered to be one of the most significant milestones of the gender in recent years, has failed to disappoint us. This is due to the fact that it has been present.

As we proceeded, we had a cast that was comparable. Okay, we would not contemplate the return of that overwhelming duo that was Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, but we would have Anya Taylor-Joy (one of the young actresses most devoted to risk when it comes to choosing her roles and giving them life) returning to a young Imperator Furiosa; and Chris Hemsworth as his nemesis, Dementus (who in films like ‘Tyler Rake’, ‘ Spiderhead ‘ and ‘Bad Times at the El Royale’ has shown that he feels great about moving away from the Thor that made him famous).

And finally, the film appeared to be entirely in line with its predecessor in terms of its aesthetic: we would have extremely violent chases through deserts with scorching tones, warlords ruling inconceivable constructions, famous automobiles, and comic book brutality. On the other hand, there is a failure in the overall process, which can be summed up in the fact that “Fury Road” was a cinematic monument of such a high quality that it is difficult to capture the lightning twice.

The reason for this is that, in general, everything is in place: we have a plot that has been constructed to justify insane chases in a straight line, with a plethora of artillery and outrageous stunts. However, something is wrong from the very concept: the greatness of the characters in ‘Fury Road’ was that George Miller’s audacity in not wanting to give information about them worked in his favor: how did Furiosa reach the domains of Immortan Joe, how has she lost her arm, why is she immensely more aggressive and drives better than Max himself?

It is precisely for the sake of explaining all of that that ‘Furiosa’ is an excuse; that is, it is to play against its established precedent. It could be said that George Miller is betting on risk, but that is not the case: except for the occasional innovation in certain scenes (the western touch of the first chapter, the healthy abstraction of the end), Miller recycles staging ideas from the first movie, but it has low intensity and decibels. It is sufficient for you to observe that one of the most important scenes in the movie is an exact replica of the breathtaking climax that was featured in the film “Mad Max 2.” ‘Fury Road’ was nothing like anything else, and ‘Furiosa’ seemed to be too similar to itself.

Then, are we going to be in for a disaster? Miller continues to shoot the action at a pace that practically all blockbuster films in the business would already like to have. Not even slightly. Constant staging ideas and a cartoonish touch that favors brainlessness and fun are present throughout the entire production. To put it another way, this is an outstanding prequel, but it is not an iconic one. Even if nobody anticipated it, it has been quite enjoyable to fantasize about it for a long now.

The character of Mad Max, who appeared in the first film, which was released in 1979, was a former law enforcement officer who became a vigilante. He rode his customized Kawa Z1000 motorcycle over the wasteland, searching for food and ‘guzzolene’. The popularity of that picture led to the production of even more successful sequels, including Mad Max 2, Mad Max: Beyond the Thunderdome (this is where you fell in love with Tina Turner once more!), and Mad Max Fury Road.

This prequel to the Mad Max series tells the story of Furiosa, a female warrior figure, and takes place before the events of the trilogy. The movie was launched in the middle of the week to audiences all around the world, and if you want to experience it to its fullest potential, you should go to an IMAX theater.

There is a small, hidden, and guarded area of greenery in a post-apocalyptic world that is appropriately referred to as the Wasteland. This is where the little girl Furiosa resides. In addition to living with solar panels, windmills, and other environmentally conscious lifestyle choices, they are a matriarchal community. When Furiosa tries to halt motorcyclists who have broken into the property, she is unsuccessful and ends up getting caught. She spends her childhood along with the biker gang that is led by Dementus (Chris Hemsworth), and this is the narrative of her rebellion, her quest for revenge, and her struggle to go back home.

The movie serves as a sobering reminder to us of the way in which wars will convert our planet into a desolate wasteland. In order for people to live, they will evolve into vicious individuals, and society will disintegrate into what Darwin had prophesied would happen: only the most robust will remain. And the gangs are willing to do everything in order to obtain food, ammunition, and gasoline. Dementus is quoted as saying, “We cannot be soft.”

Despite the fact that it is entertaining to watch Chris Hemsworth, our favorite superhero, play the role of a cruel gang leader in this movie, dear investor, the more important lesson that the movie teaches us is that we need to acknowledge that climate change is a real phenomenon, and that in the future, we will be fighting not only over water, but over everything that was important to us in the past. Is now the right time to put money into environmentally conscious projects? Pick lifestyle choices that are better for the environment and cut down on your carbon footprint. And most importantly, don’t forget to take a vacation from the rat race and appreciate the greenery that exists on our world before the terrible future begins to creep up on us from behind.

Little Furiosa is forced to spend fifteen years away from her family, where she must rely on her wits to survive among a group of degenerates and criminals who employ physical force and brutally compete with one another in order to gain an advantage over one another. In order to survive in that world, she develops her skills and becomes more resilient. On the other hand, she never loses sight of her objective, which is to eliminate Dementus, the person who was responsible for the death of her mother and taking her away from her home. She also intends to one day find her way back home and plant the seed that her mother has given her in order to remind her of her green home.

Do you find that the folks in the Wasteland bring to mind the people you work with at your company? There are those who are competing for that corner office, claiming credit for the work that you have done, and other things. At work, however, you are required to be that survivor. Make an investment in new abilities that will come in helpful to you. According to Bill Gates, one should learn to work smart rather than working long and hard. When it comes to portraying Furiosa, Anya Taylor-Joy, who you may have seen in the fantastic Netflix show “The Queen’s Gambit,” is very stunning. When you look into her eyes, you will see that her desire for vengeance is never much further from her mind.
